I got to Ruelle de Paris right at 9:30, but they had no galettes, so I decided to spend about an hour wandering around the Yeonhui-dong neighborhood. It is not often that I find myself in Yeonhui-dong at 9:30 on a weekend morning. Moraenae Market is nearby too, so I used it as a turnaround point and ran there and back.
Scenery roughly like this..
For my health, I have been wearing running shoes and carrying a messenger bag everywhere lately so I can run whenever I have time. Jeans are fine as clothing, but since they are consumables anyway, I do not wear pants that are too expensive. Winter is cold, so I have been taking a break for a few months (doing burpee tests at home instead..), but once it warms up I need to get back to running properly.
Apartment blocks in the distance..
City life seems pretty much the same everywhere.
An alley in Moraenae Market
The mix of apartments and a traditional market makes for an unusual scene.
Tons of new apartments going up.
I wonder how this neighborhood will change. And what will become of its good restaurants. I hope it thrives even more once the apartment blocks move in..
There is a riverside too
And some ducks. Or are they swans?
A mountain trail..
There was a shortcut right through the middle of the hill. It is not very high, but running up it left me out of breath.
The view from the top
It felt great to run again after so long. The scenery was beautiful, and I had some delicious bread after the workout, so it was the perfect weekend-morning course.
