I stopped by Molto for a weekend lunch get-together. It was already two months ago, and it’s a place I’ve been to plenty of times, so I’ll keep this short.

Spumante

We started with some light bubbles.

Bread

It came out nicely warmed.

Antipasto

Just finger food, but every piece is made with care. There aren’t many places in Korea that put out a plate this polished.

Basil pasta

A fresh, bright taste of spring. They always serve top-notch pasta, but it tasted even better that day.

Maesaengi and oyster pasta

This might be the best of all the Korean-style pastas. Word is that few places do it as well as this one. I scraped the plate clean.

Red wine

These days I can’t remember what I drank without a photo..

Steak

The more I eat here, the more I feel that places with value for money like Molto are really rare in Korea. In Japan there are a few, though.

Cutlets

We ordered these to share, and the frying was excellent.

Panna cotta

Dessert doesn’t disappoint either. Apart from the huge group gatherings, I don’t think I’ve ever left this place unsatisfied.

Gifts

Souvenirs the members brought back from their trips abroad. I brought Big Island chocolate from Hawaii.

This is the chocolate I brought, and it’s pretty impressive in its own right. If I go back to Hawaii I’ll probably buy it again.

Love Bazaar

After lunch I headed over to Apgujeong Rodeo. It’s the best place in Korea for buying sneakers, and there was a small music event too. I didn’t spot the pair I was after, but every sneaker trending around the world really was gathered there. The Adidas Stan Smith seemed to have sold out the moment it was released. I was a bit late for the music event, but I still got to enjoy a passionate performance. Next time I shouldn’t be late.
