A lot of people around me have birthdays in August, so we had a birthday dinner together. yum yum in Shibaura seems to be a sister restaurant of Tsubame Grill, and it turned out to be a pretty good place for a group dinner or a get-together.
Carpaccio of the day
Very fresh. The portion felt a little stingy, though.

Good ingredients here too, as expected.

The fundamentals are solid, but again the portion was on the small side.

We were still a little hungry, so we ordered one more. This one was good as well.
The menu itself is very standard yoshoku, but the cooking is of a high level across the board, and the place is spacious and quiet, so it is a good spot for a group. The service is friendly too. On top of that there is a parking lot right in front of the restaurant, which I think is the first time I have seen a restaurant with its own parking in Tokyo that is not on Kannana. The one downside is that the portions are a bit stingy, so if you keep ordering this and that, the bill climbs.

The jellies here are really delicious. They are not cheap, but they make a great gift.
