Bakeries seem to be the trend these days — new ones are popping up all over the place, and even when I hear about an opening there’s no way I can get to them all. (It’s not as if a bakery that beats Publique or Owol-ui Jong is going to appear out of nowhere, either..) But a recommendation that went up on the Bread Party’s Twitter was too intriguing to ignore, so I ended up heading over to Rolling Pin, a new place in Apgujeong. For the record, I’m not a Bread Party member. Keeping up with one food club is hard enough, so I just monitor them.
The front entrance
It’s right across from the Hyundai Department Store in Apgujeong. That neighborhood is small, so it wasn’t hard to find.
The signature item, the Rolling bread
Everyone who had tried it said it was good, so I bought one to start with — and it has this chewy, addictive deliciousness. It’s great with jam or butter, and just as good plain. This one bread alone is worth making a trip from far away for.

It looked good, but this time I was focused on the loaves, so I don’t actually know how it tastes..

A sweet one, and it made a tasty snack. When you only eat meal breads, you start to miss this kind..
Wheat bread
The whole wheat gives it a nutty flavor. The standard here really is high.
Chocolate loaf
This one was a bit on the sweet side, and it didn’t measure up to the Rolling bread.
