The 2chef in front of Hongdae that I always go to

I had to eat something for dinner, but I wasn’t set up to cook at home and couldn’t be bothered, so I went to 2chef for a light meal. I’ve posted about this place so many times that writing a detailed description feels like too much work, but since my policy is to post about everywhere I eat, I’m putting it up even if it’s getting repetitive. And there are still a few more posts to come..

Soup

2chef

I think it was potato soup, and it was nice and warm.

Antipasto

2chef

This was the antipasto that came out often at 2chef earlier this year, and the fresh king prawns were wonderfully springy. I don’t go to other places much so I can’t say for sure, but pulling this off can’t be easy.

Grilled fish

2chef

I remember it being sea bream. The fish was grilled well, but maybe because I’d been tired since the morning that day, I couldn’t really taste it properly. Personally I just wanted to go for the giant jokbal in Jangchung-dong, but that wasn’t an option..

Beef main

2chef

It was cooked in some kind of cheese sauce, but I’ve forgotten the exact name. It was really delicious, but they served such a big portion that I was a little defeated. On a tired day, seolleongtang or gomtang really would have suited me better than fine dining.

Dessert

2chef

I had a light meal and headed home. Next time I hope to come when I’m less busy and take it slow.
