Right after getting back from my trip to Japan, I went straight to 2chef. This time I kept it light, pairing a few suitable snacks with whisky.
Chuck flap
The chuck flap at 2chef was especially good that day. You can see the marbling clearly. The quality of the meat does go up and down depending on the day, though.
I believe this was halfbeak.
It was nicely salty, so it went really well with a drink.
Hibiki 17 Year Old
A blended whisky I brought back with me this time. It tasted better than I expected and goes down easily. I was so pleased with it that I’ve decided to buy the 21-year-old next time.
Swordtip squid
One more snack comes out. I’ve been really into whisky lately, so it would be nice to have a whisky bar I could drop into as a regular. I can enjoy it at 2chef too, of course. But before enjoying drinks, I really need to get in shape and diet first. I’ve been far too indulgent lately. Especially in Japan…
