I went to Shirokane to meet a friend. I really do end up in this neighborhood a lot. We had lunch together at a small French bistro near my friend’s place.

Bread and butter
Pretty good. There was a Le Cordon Bleu diploma hanging on the wall, and seeing how many locals come here somehow put me at ease even before the food arrived.

Oyster gratin and chicken braised with honey
Since it’s lunch, it comes simply as a one-plate meal. It being winter, I ordered the oyster gratin and the recommended braised chicken. The chicken had a light sweetness from the honey soaked into it, and it was delicious. The oyster gratin was top-notch too; the oysters were big and nicely cooked. It went well with the champagne, and as a holiday lunch I was very satisfied.

This was the fish of the day, and the portion was generous. Cooked just right, too..

Overall, a decent neighborhood French bistro. I heard the main branch is near Akihabara, so if I’m ever around there I’d like to drop by.
