After a good bowl of naengmyeon, our next stop was Passion 5, a dessert cafe in Itaewon. Honestly, if it’s not Itaewon there aren’t many places worth going to. It’s a dessert cafe, but it’s big, and there’s a bakery on the ground floor too. The word was that it tastes pretty good.

Right next door was Edward Kwon’s restaurant, where we’d been the day before..

It’s not even Christmas, but there were tree-light decorations.. Pretty unique in its own way.
What we bought at the bakery
We grabbed a window seat on the second floor, and it turns out you can buy bread downstairs and eat it in the cafe. It was better than it looked. The pastry topped with fresh strawberries was good, and the olive bread, supposedly their most famous item, was nicely salty and would be perfect with a drink.. The curry bread didn’t really wow me, but by Korean standards it’s decent. I think it would have been better taken home and warmed up in the microwave rather than eaten cold..
Souvenir
This is the souvenir I brought along as a gift this time. It’s a Momotaro tomato jelly from Okayama Prefecture. I thought it was tasty, but I’m not sure how the others felt.. Judging by the fact that nobody posted a review, chances are it wasn’t a hit..

Hmm.. I really wish they’d go easy on the tea bags -_-;; At restaurants in Korea, just ordering a Perrier is often the best choice..
This is how you drink it.
With the nice interior and tasty bread, I bet people who live nearby come here often. The view from the window was surprisingly good too. But given that it’s in Itaewon, I don’t know if I’ll ever have a reason to go back.. If I do, maybe around next Lunar New Year..
