This was my first time going up to the second floor, and the atmosphere is rather nice.

The tebasaki here really are excellent, I think.

Very Kyoto — the spring onion is delicious.
Prawn with tartar sauce
Where on earth do they get prawns this big? The tartar sauce was so rich that I finished off every last bit of what was left.
Liver
Lovely.
Negima and tsukune — chicken-and-leek skewers and chicken meatballs
They do all of it well.
Chashu
I ordered it out of curiosity, and it turns out to be a proper drinking snack.

These were more ordinary than I expected…

Tebasaki with tare
The tebasaki were so good that I ordered them with tare as well, and of course they were superb.

It’s an unremarkable yakitori place, but that very unremarkableness is what keeps drawing me back. I may well end up dropping in again.
