I went to Jean François, the famous bakery in Marché de Métro, the underground food arcade at Tokyo Metro’s Omotesando Station.
Last time I only posted a photo of the shop’s entrance and never got to the bread ^_^; so this time I took pictures of the bread.
This is a fruit tart. I forgot which kind of tart it was T_T but the gentle sweetness is superb. I’m rather fond of desserts and breads,
and in this field French bread seems to be the best, hands down.
This is the orange bread. Again, I can’t remember the exact name.. was it Grand d’Orange or something.. French is way too hard T_T
This bread honestly made me angry. Why on earth does bread taste of fresh, zesty orange.. It’s not a fruit,
it’s just bread, for crying out loud.
A bread with cranberries and walnuts. The taste.. is to die for.
Just look at that generous filling and you can probably guess how it tastes.
They used to have a raisin bread that was half raisins, half bread, which I really loved, but it wasn’t there this time..
If you love bread, or you’ve come all the way to Omotesando and can’t decide what to eat,
be sure to pay it a visit.
