After a bowl of jjamppong in Yeonsu, I strolled on for a while and came upon the Russian town.

It is quite a big area, actually. Walking there and back takes a good 30 minutes..

It calls itself a world food culture street, but really it is a Russian and Central Asian food street..

It seems to be the most famous grocery store and bakery around here. There were a few of them in this neighborhood.

They were selling something like samsa. The taste was pretty ordinary.

The prices are cheap and the taste looks decent too. Only.. they are meal breads, so they do not look all that sweet.

There is even a shop specializing in Russian cakes.

Drinks

The Russian town really does seem well stocked when it comes to alcohol. There are plenty of bars too. In Chinatown people drink at the restaurants, but in the Russian town there seem to be separate bars for that. A difference in culture, I suppose.

This place has the same name as one in Dongdaemun, so I wonder whether they are related..

A sushi place that looked surprisingly popular..

Sushi seems to be popular in Russia too..

Anyway, it turned out to be a pretty good course for a day trip.. it was fascinating that a place like this exists in Korea..
