Posting a variety of things.
Hyoketsu Fukuoka Amaou Strawberry
Since it’s a winter limited edition, I can’t drink it all the time. But I think this might be the tastiest one in the series.
Mentaiko Bread
I bought it because it was a collaboration with Yamaya, and surprisingly, it tastes pretty good. Given the price, the amount of mentaiko is a bit small, but the flavor is decent.
Tuna Mayo Usukawa
This was quite tasty.
Tofu for Mapo Tofu
If you just have mapo tofu sauce to go with this, you can finish a dish of mapo tofu in an instant; it’s definitely delicious. Mapo tofu should be soft and soak up the sauce, and you can’t get that taste with tofu that’s too firm. This one is a perfect match and really elevates the flavor of the mapo tofu.
Moranbon Meat-Packed Mapo Tofu
Surprisingly, the ingredients in this one are quite substantial (except for the sansho pepper…), so if you just add the mapo tofu tofu, you can make a high-quality mapo tofu instantly. Moranbon is…
Ketchup for Napolitan
It contains onion, so it seems like you can make Napolitan just by mixing this in… I bought it thinking it would be an easy way to make it, but I ended up giving it as a gift, so I didn’t get to taste it.
Black Bean Snacks
They’re just okay. They seem a bit thicker than regular senbei.
Ancient Grain Rice Crackers
These are senbei that I love. I really like the airy, puffed-up feeling.
Crown Melon
It felt a bit overripe, and while the taste was good, I’m not so sure about the price… there are plenty of other melons that are cheaper and of similar quality.
Saeukkang Seaweed & Salt Flavor
With seaweed in it, it’s impossible for it not to taste good.
Kyorindo Kakinotane New Package
This is delicious too.
Custard Cake Bacardi Flavor
It was decent. I feel like custard cakes in Japan are tastier than in Korea, and the collaborations are all high quality.
Kin 3-Kind Mushroom Fresh Pasta
This is a new release from Seven-Eleven, and it’s pretty good. I wish the Kin series came out more often, but unfortunately, they don’t.
ChocoBaki Madagascar Vanilla
An upgraded ChocoBaki, but I think I prefer the original.
Sharimoni Gummies
Gummies are so popular that I’ve been trying various kinds. These were chewy and delicious. It seems like gummies for adults, rather than kids, have become the main trend now.
Meiji Almonds
These were also quite good.
Myodai Fuji Soba Beni Shoga Ten Soba
The quality is quite high for a cup ramen, so I mostly eat this during winter.
Donbei Beni Shoga Ten Soba
I was very disappointed with this one. Setting the soba aside, the amount of beni shoga in the beni shoga tempura was incredibly low. I wonder why they even released this.
Usukawa Cheese Curry Bread
Great for a snack.
Premium Ghana Infiniment Vanille
I had high expectations since it was a collaboration with Pierre Hermé, but it wasn’t great.
Pure Gummy Pure Ring Soda
This series is quite tasty. It has a flavor similar to cider and a great texture.
Karupasu
It looks similar to salami, but it’s an affordable snack mostly made from chicken. The spicy version is very spicy. Anyway, it’s great value for money, so it’s good when you need a light snack for drinks. You can find it at any mart and it costs around 100 yen.
Iichiko Special Highball
A highball made with a premium version of the Japanese shochu Iichiko, and it was surprisingly tasty. Shochu highballs are generally delicious, after all.
Pear Sawa
This one is too sweet, so you can’t taste the alcohol at all.
Mister Donut Godiva Collaboration
I think this was a collaboration for Valentine’s Day. It seemed decent for the price.
Don Quijote Liquor Section
It’s not incredibly cheap yet… but the prices keep going down.
Diablo Canned Wine
It was my first time trying canned wine, and it was a sweet wine. I think I should try a non-sweet one next time.
Kataage Yuzu Pepper Flavor
Just okay.
Pocky Almond Crush
The taste is good, but I feel like the amount is constantly decreasing.
Pure Gummy Premium Peach Flavor
This might be the discovery of the year; it tastes like a truly high-end dessert. However, I tend to eat too many of them, so it can get a bit tiring.
Pumpernickel
It was just ordinary.
The Premium ChocoBaki
It tastes good, but I still think the plain one is the best.
