Manggick Chicken is a chicken-and-beer joint in the basement of the restaurant building in front of the Express Bus Terminal.

Well..

Besides chicken, they also deep-fry things like octopus and crab. Maybe that’s why this place alone is so packed, since the menu is fun.. The staff were friendly too..

The basic setup

They lay out quite a variety.

The taste isn’t bad, and it’s a good place to drink beer. It’s crowded and a bit noisy, but that can’t be helped.. I think it’d be a good spot for a work dinner or something like that.

A chicken place

This one is.. a chicken place nearby.. I can’t quite remember where it was, so I’m posting it here too. It was kind of an old-school style, I think..

Dry snacks

This neighborhood is a good one for having a drink.. Not that it’s popular for any special menu; it’s more that reasonably good-value places, for this area, are clustered together.

Rice

I think this was taken somewhere else again.. Not sure what it is, but posting it anyway..
