Macolinne is a stylish cafe I’m fond of. It’s a place that never lets you down.

The place

Clean and tidy.

Tarte Tatin

It’s a very thin cake, but a really well made one. The apples are cooked down good and dark, and the balance between the cream and the pastry is good too. Outside apple season this kind of flavor isn’t easy to come by.

Purin (custard pudding)

Rich and nicely made, this one too.

House-made ginger ale

Very nicely made.

Coffee

I’d say it might just be the best cafe around for spending an elegant afternoon.
