The Xurreria Pop-up in Yongsan

I heard a rumour that a churro shop flown in from Barcelona had opened a pop-up in Yongsan, so I went to have a look.

On the way there

I think this was probably Yongmun Market — a place like this right in the middle of Seoul..

Wonhyo Electronics Arcade

From the look of it, I’d say it’s about to be torn down. Is it finally disappearing into history..

The district under construction by Yongsan Station

Hard to believe a plot of land this big is still sitting empty..

An Anne of Green Gables pop-up

There must be plenty of people who still remember Anne of Green Gables..

Inside the pop-up

The line is long and there are a lot of staff.

Frying them fresh, batch after batch

Dipped in chocolate

Hmm.. but this is awfully rich.. And this is what’s popular in Barcelona? I can’t say I get it. Younger people might well like it, I suppose, but for me, having tried it once was enough.
