JINMEN is a sister shop of Jinrui Mina Menrui. This brand has been expanding at an incredible pace lately. What sets this place apart is that it seems to be a ramen shop that doubles as a cafe.
The entrance
It looks like an ordinary cafe from any angle, but what they sell inside is ramen.
The menu
There is a huge range, too. There seems to be a single base, and they change the flavour by changing the toppings. There is a cafe menu as well, so you can order drinks and desserts.
The kitchen
Spotless.
The cafe space inside
However you look at it, it is just a cafe: every seat has a power outlet, and there is even a space for kids to play.
Ramen served in a mug
Half portions are available, so I ordered halves. It is a good place to eat when you are here on a trip. I tried the WATER NOODLE, the GOMA TANG-TANG NOODLE and the CREAM SAUCE NOODLE.
Goma tantanmen
Even though it is a ramen specialist, the soup was rock solid. Which is to say, this is a place that does everything well.
The noodles
They use the whole-wheat noodles that are so popular these days.
Shoyu ramen
A completely back-to-basics ramen, and a tasty one.
Cream sauce ramen
This one is not meant to be eaten as it comes…
You have to add this to complete it.
The finished result
This one tastes great as well. I had assumed they would all be along similar lines, but each one has its own character. It was a seriously good place. I am looking forward to seeing what Jinrui Mina Menrui shows us next.
