Here are all sorts of dishes.
Mao’s eggplant rice bowl
It was surprisingly good. Though this neighborhood is a bit on the pricey side.
Shake Shack
It tastes great when you haven’t had it in a while. Maybe more so because I ordered the double. I’d say it’s the standard for a handmade burger.
IKEA’s hot dog
You’ve got to have one when you go to IKEA..
Finnish wholegrain rye crispbread
It works nicely as a substitute for a meal. Underneath is a paste that’s like myeongnan roe, and the two went well together.
Samsisekki’s samgyeopsal
It’s a restaurant in front of the office, and it was just fine.
Hampo Haejang’s haejangguk
It tastes good, but there don’t seem to be many places left in this neighborhood where you can eat for under 12,000 won.
Geu Yetnal Son Jjajang
Surprisingly, there are quite a few hand-pulled jjajangmyeon places in Seochodong. There must be a historical reason for it, right? Anyway.. the noodles were on the thick side and the jjajang flavor wasn’t bad..
Frank Burger
Anyone can see it’s a copy of Shake Shack, but the value for money seems decent. A burger for under 10,000 won..
Bun Patty Bun’s burger
It’s thick and has a nice char, so it’s one of the better ones among the later-arriving premium burgers. It is a bit expensive for lunch, though.
Hanwoo gukbap at Seocho LA
It’s the lunch special, and it’s decent.
Gyodae Iyeo Gomtang
It’s a decent gomtang place. There was so much rice that it felt like a lot.
