A place called Pyeongnidan-gil has sprung up in Bupyeong, so I went to take a look. It sits tucked inside Bupyeong Market.
A cafe
A dessert shop
A naengmyeon place
I hear it has a reputation for doing it well.
A chocolate cafe
There really is every kind of cafe here.
A brunch restaurant
A beef and salmon restaurant
Bokhwaru has changed its sign and moved, but the taste is exactly the same.
A burger joint
A dessert cafe
There are plenty of stylish spots, but exactly one of them was on a different level from the rest.
Cafe EOU
EOU seems to stand for Extraordinary U. It is a cafe with a second floor and even a rooftop, and the interior and the sharpness of the desserts looked a cut above, so I went in. To think there is a place like this in Bupyeong Market.. There were more stylish spots too, of course, but they had such an Instagram-ready air that walking in felt like a bit much..
The kitchen
The menu
The prices are reasonable too.
The rooftop
Nice atmosphere.
The second floor
Very modern. Pulling an interior together this neatly is not easy either.
What I went with that day
The cake and the tea were both good, and the TWININGS peppermint tea that came as a teabag was better than I expected too. From the outside it is just a teabag, but the cup and the ice were beautiful and the tea had brewed so well. I found myself wondering how on earth they did it.
Decorations
The dog and the cat are cute.
Decorations
Who knew Bupyeong had a cafe of this level.. A cafe put together this well would be worth coming a long way for.
