Izakaya Shun is a small izakaya in Bentenjima, Hamamatsu. It’s the kind of place a tourist who isn’t a local can’t get into. Then again, if you’re a tourist there are plenty of more famous places, so there’s no real reason to go hunting for this one.

Ordinary enough, I suppose, but the menu is well suited to having a drink, and it’s the sort of izakaya that works as the neighborhood’s living room. Don’t come expecting extraordinary food — it’s just right when you simply want to enjoy a drink.
