I heard people raving about a place called Focaccia della Strada, so I made another trip out to Yongsan.

It’s not the pizza we normally picture — it’s focaccia with the toppings piled on.

Turns out you can buy them par-baked. I took one home and finished it in a frying pan, and the focaccia came out thin and crisp and went really well with the toppings. The mushroom flavor was deep and I enjoyed every bite. I think it would go nicely with wine, too.
It was so good that I went back again.

I picked up several this time as well, but I cooked them in the air fryer and they just didn’t taste as incredible as before. Why on earth? I wondered — I guess it takes a few rounds of trial and error before you find the right way to enjoy them.
