The name Tangtangjip comes from the fact that they do seolleongtang and gamjatang at the same time. Unusual, isn’t it.
A place like this
It has been running for ages, but I had never got around to going. The location is awkward for drinking and awkward for a meal.
Their takeout, though, turns out to be great.
Ppyeo-haejangguk
The portion is substantial.
Look at this..
There are three enormous bones in there. For the price of one serving you get something like two or three servings. And it tastes good on top of that, so I could hardly believe a place this generous exists..
Seolleongtang
This one is a very generous portion too.
Galbitang
In the making..
There are three chunks of rib bone big enough to double as a weapon. Galbitang is a bit pricey, but the value is genuinely outstanding and it tastes great.
I had no idea Tangtangjip was such a gem. What a place.
