This was back when COVID still was not over, so before flying out I went to Akasaka to get a PCR test.
Harry Potter Cafe..
I had no idea there was a full-blown cafe like this.. I must have turned up early that day, because it was not even open yet.
Pascal Le Gac
What an intriguing chocolate shop.. Looks like a famous overseas chocolatier that has set up in Japan. It looked good, but I was busy that day, so I only admired it from outside.
Ryuoh
It is a well-known Chinese restaurant near Yokohama Station, apparently famous for its sanmamen and its fried rice. I did not get there this time, but I will have to give it a go on the next trip.
A sushi place at Narita Airport
A few more places have reopened, but things still have not gone back to the way they were.
Inside the airport
The airport
A quiet scene.
ROYCE’ chocolate
Being able to buy ROYCE’ chocolate again must mean the COVID situation really has improved.. I bought a whole pile of it.
Whisky
Yoichi is back on the shelves.
Ippudo
This is the Ippudo at Narita Airport, open again for the first time in a few years.
Inside
Tonkotsu ramen
Overwhelming is the only word for it.. The flavour is exactly the one I have always known.
The noodles
The perfect way to round off a trip to Japan, I would say..
