Hamarikyu is a Japanese garden right near Tsukiji. Think of it as something along the lines of Shinjuku Gyoen. Having a park you can go for a walk in right in the middle of the city is a wonderful thing.
On the way
The weather was absolutely gorgeous.

Pretty sure that one was Dentsu..
Tickets
These days you can do the whole thing cashless. We need more of this. Cash is just such a hassle..
Inside
The blend of city and garden, past and present, is wonderful. That’s Takeshiba behind it.
A view like this
This is probably a view you can only get at Hamarikyu.

There was a hill, so I went up it.

You can see the sightseeing boat pier. Inside the park there’s a walking path running along the water.

One loop around and the scenery is lovely and you slowly start getting hungry. Have a look around before heading over to Tsukiji Market, or come see it after eating your fill at Tsukiji Market — either way I think it makes a perfect little course.
