A ramen shop with the unusual name Jinrui Mina Menrui (“all humanity is noodles”) has opened about halfway between Ebisu and Daikanyama. It started out as one of those Osaka shops people queue up for and then made its way to Tokyo, and apparently the line was enormous when it first opened, though these days it does not seem to be anything like that.

A cake shop called AM STRAM GRAM that I came across on the way

They sell cakes in the Qu’il fait bon style, and they looked so pretty that I got curious. A proper visit will have to wait for another time.

It is a famous bakery, and it looks like they have opened a branch here. Ebisu really is a fun neighborhood.

The noodles

Both the noodles and the broth are of a high standard. The style is exactly the style I like, so there is no way it disappoints. That said, ramen shops everywhere have raised their game lately.. so I start to wonder whether it is worth traveling all this way for. Still, there is a certain fun in ticking the famous places off the list.
