I have gotten a taste for cycling, so I have been riding all over the place. Having ticked off Dobongsan, Uijeongbu had to be next, right? Ttareungi only goes as far as Dobongsan, so from there on I used other transport.

If I had the time a hike would be nice too, but lately there seem to be quite a few hikers who do not wear a mask, so I am reluctant to go..

It really hits you how far out you have come. You never see this in central Seoul..

Budae jjigae street

The original target was a place called Gangwon-do Makguksu, but the shop was gone.. when I searched later, there were posts from 2019 but nothing from 2020.. anyway, that is how I ended up wandering over to budae jjigae street while trying to decide where to eat.

The sign says it is the first branch. But thinking it over.. it was a hot day, and I felt like naengmyeon was what I should be eating.. and eating budae jjigae on my own is a bit awkward anyway..

It looks dodgy, but this is the right way. Still, I honestly wonder why there is a naengmyeon place in the middle of a motel district..

Nothing has changed since the last time I came. It feels like time stopped here.

I cannot really judge the noodles, but the myeonsu is genuinely good. It was a hot day, so I got another chance to eat naengmyeon this year.

At the end of the tracks you come to a cluster of restaurants and cafes. It is a good route, so it would work as a date too.
