Hatsushima is famous in Shinbashi for its lunch service, but for a while they had stopped doing lunch. I dropped by for the first time in ages, saw they were open, and went in.
Front entrance
It’s a very narrow place with counter seating only.
Soup
As you’d expect from a proper Japanese restaurant, a tasty clear soup comes out first.
Grilled fish
The grilled fish looked really good, but… it tastes like grilled fish. As options you can order the grilled fish, the simmered fish, or both, and I ordered both.

Good quality and a satisfying portion…
Plump shirasu tucked inside too…
Great quality, satisfying portions, and it’s easy to see why it’s famous for lunch.
