I heard there was a cafe, or maybe a restaurant, in Ginza that serves gâteau basque (their take on Basque cheesecake), so I went.
This is the place
It’s right next to Bic Camera, so it’s easy to find. I was surprised at how packed it was. I’ve been to Ginza so many times, yet I never knew there was a place this popular.
Gâteau basque
Well… it’s good… but cakes made with this kind of cheese (tiramisu, for example) taste pretty similar wherever you have them. I couldn’t tell much of a difference from GAZTA.
Drinks
It was a really lovely experience, the first in a while. It felt a bit like sitting in a hotel lounge in New York or London…
