Whether it’s because of the TV show Wednesday Food Talk or because Euljiro has gotten hip, the lines at the old Euljiro joints seem to have gotten even longer lately. Sansugapsan’s line was long before, but it’s gotten longer still. One evening I couldn’t make it for opening and showed up a bit late, and ended up waiting an hour. But everyone in line was in their twenties. Older folks can’t stand in line for an hour, so the crowd has naturally gotten dramatically younger. Thanks to that, line-cutting has disappeared too. Table
Not much has changed.
Sundaeguk
There are a lot of places doing it well these days..
Assorted sundae
The liver is really nicely prepped. I’d say it’s this place’s signature. The makchang sundae used to blow me away, but after making the rounds of places that do makchang sundae well lately, it’s not quite at that level anymore..
Euljiro scenery
Under redevelopment..
Euljiro scenery

Scenery
