Seoul Business Trip, November 2017

These days I end up going to Seoul almost once a month. It looks like I’ll be doing even more work in Seoul from now on, to the point where calling it a business trip feels a bit silly. Anyway, this was one of the last trips, more or less.

Pangyo

There was a Friday developer meetup, so I went along. Nothing much seems to have changed, but I caught up on plenty of news about the developers.

Hold Me’s persimmon smoothie

It tasted great, as you’d expect from Hold Me, but drinking something icy on a cold day nearly froze me to death. Next time I’ll check the weather before ordering.

Jeil Eobeoi Sundae near Namyeong Station

This place was picked as a “Good Restaurant” on TV, and since I had to go to Seoul Station I stopped by on the way. I had a drink with the meal too, but now that soju has gone lower in alcohol, I got too full to finish the bottle.

The value for money is still fantastic, but I had the feeling the taste had slipped a little compared to before. Then again, it might just be my palate that has changed.

The view from Seoullo

It seems a lot of interesting spots have popped up around Seoullo as well, but not being a local, I haven’t got a handle on them all.
