There is an old dandanmen shop in Ginza called Hashigo. They call it dandanmen, apparently, because it is a bit different from the usual tantanmen. Spicy, with sesame in it.. seemed pretty similar to me, though.
The front
A stylish vibe, very Ginza.
Inside
The counter is insanely long. It looked like a good 20 metres or so. I guess you need that kind of presence to stay in business in Ginza for this long. Incidentally, they have branches all over Ginza.
Paiko dandanmen
It comes with a piece of deep-fried pork on top, and it is seriously good. Definitely get it as a topping.
The noodles
Nicely spicy, the perfect bowl of noodles to finish off a night of drinking, I would say. Very Ginza.
Condiments and seasonings
There is a famous ramen shop nearby, but I never seem to have time to go.
No idea when I will next have an occasion to drink in Ginza.
