I had business in Gwanghwamun on this trip, so I ended up there a lot. While I was at it I dropped by Holdme Coffee, and it turned out to be a really nice space.
A corner of Holdme Coffee
It’s not the easiest place to find. It seemed bigger than the Pangyo branch.
The vibe
More of the vibe
Hot vanilla
I was curious so I ordered it; it tasted like they’d steeped the vanilla extract properly. And it was on the sweet side.
High-sugar orange juice
I was curious enough to order two drinks for one person, and this juice was very sweet too. I think I get why Holdme Coffee is so popular.
Gwanghwamun scenery
Not Gwanghwamun, but Maru 180 in Yeoksam
Dropped in while passing by.
The shoe waterfall on the Seoul Station plaza
It looked like something out of a zombie movie, so I liked it..
The Blue House
Maybe because the office I was in was close by, you could see it clearly.
On the last day of the trip I had lunch at Maeil Bunsik.
Gimbap
So-so
Shin Ramyun
Behind the heat there’s a sticky sweetness. The balance of flavours is good, but because of it you end up taking in more spiciness than you need. Tasty but not exactly healthy, I guess you could say. That kind of Baek Jong-won-style flavour is what wins mass popularity, I suppose.
