Tuk Tuk Noodle Thai has reopened at a new location in Yeonnam-dong. It has moved even deeper into the neighborhood than before, and now takes up an entire building. The way it is pioneering a block with nothing else around reminds me of the early days when Yeonnam-dong was first booming.

The front

The restaurant starts on the second floor. When it gets crowded they use the third-floor seats too. There is also a bar on the second floor, and they have decorated it beautifully. We arrived a little after opening time that day and got seated without any trouble. It does not seem like the kind of place with a really long line yet, though it is so popular that who knows how that will change.

Complimentary drinks

They gave us these for being regulars. Not Tuk Tuk regulars, mind you, but Opas regulars. Drank them happily.

Skewers

A menu item that is perfect as a drinking snack has been added. The kitchen has changed, and I get the feeling the food has been upgraded from before. I will need a few more visits to say for sure, though.

Poo pad pong curry

It is a curry made with soft-shell crab; not spicy, and the crab was really meaty. This kind of quality at this kind of price: even after the move, the value for money here is truly outstanding. It is a bit farther to get to now, but I expect it will stay popular for a long time.

Shrimp fried rice

The shrimp were wonderfully plump.

It is a shame we could not order many dishes, since this was not one of our foodie gatherings. There will be another chance someday.
