The Original Pancake House is a well-known American chain, and now it has come to Korea. It’s popular, so the line was long. From what I hear, the flavors and portion sizes have been adapted for Korea.
Cobb salad
I was worried they’d only have pancakes, so it was a relief to find a salad on the menu.
Dutch Baby
It’s a bit like an omelette, topped with lemon and powdered sugar. Sweet and tangy. I ordered it because it’s a popular item, but the taste was pretty much what you’d imagine.
Pancakes
Naturally the pancakes are good too. The butter does feel a little lacking, though, which must be down to the Korean-style tweaks.
Bakery BACKEN
A bakery like this has opened in Sinsa too, and it had a club-like vibe. I’d thought only the Hongdae area was getting new shops these days, but other neighborhoods are getting interesting places as well.
