ahn, a Vietnamese Restaurant in Yeonnam-dong

I’d heard that a good Vietnamese restaurant had opened in Yeonnam-dong, but nobody would tell me where it was. Fair enough, really: the place is tiny, so if a crowd showed up there would be no way to handle it. Then one day a get-together came up and I just barely managed to squeeze in.

This is the place

Enough time has passed now, so it should come up if you search for it.

Spring rolls

Stuffed absolutely full. The flavor was moving, and they’re perfect with drinks.

Goi cuon

They use good ingredients.

Everything tastes great. I’m not sure you could even eat this well in Vietnam. If I had to name the downsides, it’s that you have to order in English and the seating is a bit cramped, but with food this good, that’s easy to put up with.

The neighborhood this place is in has blown up recently, with cafes and bakeries popping up like mushrooms. I hope they stay true to their roots and keep doing what they do.
