Someone requested pasta near Hongdae, so we went to Trattoria Ciao. It turned out to be a much better place than I expected.

and it came with a huge slab of meat. That’s Trattoria Ciao for you…

Delicious. Everyone was raving about it as we ate.

Bread

And the menu, just in case…

On the way back we stopped by Bakery Bongyo and picked up an assortment of bread.

The building

It’s tucked away in a corner, but it’s just a short walk from Sangsu Station. I’d say it’s fighting for first or second place in the Hongdae bakery value-for-money race. The bread is that good, and the prices are easy on the wallet. This neighbourhood seems to be on the rise too.
