Since I get a lot of visitors from Japan, I need to know a few restaurants around the tourist spots. Manjeong isn’t that amazing as a barbecue place, but the location is good, the value is good, and the service in particular was really nice.
Samcheong-dong scenery
With the development of Bukchon, this neighborhood has changed a lot. It was commercial before, but now it’s even more so, I’d say. Not that that’s a bad thing.
The weather was lovely.
These days, with the yellow dust, it’s not easy to see a sky like this.
Side dishes
The side dishes weren’t bad either, but the staff’s service was really nice.
Every one of them is tasty.
The meat
Well, it’s hanwoo, so it’s not bad.
Complimentary seafood stew
They bring out enough to make you burst.
Can’t skip the naengmyeon either

Everything is above par. It lives up nicely to what you’d hope a barbecue place would deliver at the very least. Not somewhere I’d go out of my way for, but if you’re in Samcheong-dong and need to eat, it seems like a decent choice. Of course, Samcheong-dong also has Byeokje Galbi..
