A Kitakata ramen shop has opened on the road from Tawaramachi to Inaricho. Kitakata ramen is known for its clean broth, so I was curious what kind of place it was and went to check it out.
Kitakata ramen, shoyu
As expected, the basic one is all about the clean shoyu flavor. The broth is good and the toppings are neat too.
The noodles
Nice and springy. I would not go so far as to call it a top-class shop, but it is definitely a high-level bowl of ramen.
Boiled gyoza
On my next visit I tried the side menu as well. The boiled gyoza are tasty and the portion is decent too.
Miso ramen
The miso ramen is nothing special in itself: you stir miso into the broth and it becomes miso ramen. This one is good too, but the shoyu seems more to my taste.
Ito’s niku soba
While sorting my photos I had nowhere to put this one from Ito, so I am slipping it in here. Excellent noodles, as always. These noodles could be called the best in Tokyo.
