It’s already winter, and I still have about a dozen autumn posts left. Posting a season late somehow takes the pressure off. It’s old news by now, so I figure nobody will mind if I keep the explanations brief.
One autumn day I visited the outlet in Yeoju. It’s quite a distance even by car, but I’d heard there’s a direct weekend bus from COEX, so I booked a seat and went. The fare isn’t exactly cheap, but it leaves near my place and it’s convenient, so it’s worth a trip now and then.
Autumn sky
The weather was great and the expressway was wide open, so it was a nice change of pace for once. No traffic on the way there, so it took just an hour, but coming back took two hours, maybe because it was evening. My iPhone battery died halfway, and I nearly died of boredom.

There are more high-end brands than at Paju. Being a weekend, there were quite a few people.

I’ve been to plenty of Chelsea outlets in Japan, and the vibe is very similar. The only problem is that the things worth buying are a bit pricey.

I realized that since I stop by duty-free shops so often these days, there’s really no need to use outlets. Duty-free was about 5-10% cheaper. Still, this time the point was an autumn outing. In the middle of all that, I picked up a few half-price sale items.

It’s in the middle of nowhere, but they’ve done it up nicely. Once the weather warms up and I need to buy some clothes, I’ll have to come back.
