On Sunday night I dropped by 2chef to order a plate of pasta and have a drink. 2chef is a comfortable place, but it’s no longer close to home, so getting there is a bit awkward. Then again, the good restaurants over in Gangnam are all so formidable that I’m not sure I have much room to squeeze in there.
A refreshing antipasto
I only ordered pasta, but they brought this out on their own. How kind of them..
Chicken pasta
What came out was a surprisingly delicious pasta, at a level you’d hardly expect from this place’s course menu. Cooking chicken well can’t be easy, yet the flavour of the ingredients really came through and the seasoning was just right. Even if I made it myself at home, I doubt I could manage this. Eating a pasta made with this much care after so long was genuinely moving, so I had a glass of white Burgundy with it.
Seafood tomato pasta
This one was also of a very high standard. If it were close to home I’d go all the time.. but since Gangnam is my main stomping ground, there’s not much I can do. Once things ease up a bit, I’ll make a point of going more often.
