Maybe because rent isn’t all that high and it’s close to central Tokyo, Koenji is full of young people living on their own. A lot of my friends who moved up from the countryside live around here too, so I end up in the neighborhood every now and then, and this day we all got together for the first time in a while. To kill some time, we headed to what’s supposed to be the most famous cafe in the area.

It’s not some amazing foodie spot, just a cafe with a nice vibe.

This is my go-to drink lately, and it tastes reasonably close to beer.

Koenji turned out to be a more livable neighborhood than I thought ^_^ We just hung around chatting about nothing for a couple of hours, and then I went my own way. Friends are always great to see, but everyone’s busy, so it’s not easy to meet up. I guess that’s just how life goes..
