I started practicing golf a few years ago, but I never actually had the chance to go to a golf course. I didn’t have much spare time, and I didn’t have anyone to play with either. I didn’t go there to play golf this time, but I got the chance to visit a golf course.

The Yonago course is on the small side, but it’s flat, so they say it’s really easy to play. I originally came along as the driver that day, but I got to walk around the course too.

The fairway
Walking down the wide-open fairway, I felt like I could understand what makes golf so enjoyable. Time for me to start getting some golf gear of my own.
Yakisoba
After a moderate round of golf – not that I was the one playing – we had a meal. It isn’t cheap, but in return the food was better than your average restaurant.

This one also came with a proper miso soup and simmered mackerel.
Vegetable curry
I like that they don’t skimp on the ingredients. For a local course that costs only about 8,000 yen on weekends, food this good makes golf all the more fun. This autumn I think I’ll go to a public course with people from work. – I hear it’s 5,000 yen for 9 holes including a meal. I should practice hard while I’m living abroad.. there aren’t many chances to practice back in Korea..
