In the morning I got up and, on the way to Mt. Aso, stopped by Kumamoto Castle for just a little while. I’d seen how imposing it was the day before, so I couldn’t just drive past. Still, if I took too long the road to Mt. Aso would start getting congested, so I just walked around the outside for a bit.

It’s dug incredibly deep so that no ninja could ever get across. To build something like this on top of a hill.. the power of those in charge is really something.
