AFURI is another ramen shop that’s easy to drop into. It’s open until 4 a.m., and it’s close to Ebisu Station, too. Before heading to bed – with the last train cutting it close – someone suggested grabbing a bowl of ramen, and no matter how I thought about it, this place was the only answer.
Yuzu shio ramen

The photos didn’t come out well today, sadly. I’ve introduced this dish so many times that there’s nothing left to say about it. But something I hadn’t really noticed until now: people say it’s a bit salty. Maybe I’ve just gotten used to salty food.. hmm..
Tsukemen

Instead of my usual, I tried a different dish. It’s a clean, pretty decent tsukemen that doesn’t tarnish AFURI’s reputation. It’s just a little different from my taste, though – I prefer thicker noodles. If it’s your first time here, be sure to try the yuzu shio.
The broth

It’s slightly sweet.
