A ramen shop I dropped into by chance while passing by. I’d actually meant to go to the place next door, which is the famous one, but it had closed early, probably because it’s so popular. This place specializes in Kyushu-style tonkotsu ramen, and while it’s not especially cheap, it seems to be fairly popular in its own right.
The front
Tokyo has an outer ring road called Kan-nana (Loop 7), and the shop sits right on it. People often stop by for a meal while driving, so it’s a bit like a Korean “gisa sikdang” (drivers’ diner).

The noodles
Unlike Hakata tonkotsu, the noodles are thick. Pretty average overall. Still, I enjoyed it.
Ramen is just way too high in calories. Eating this kind of thing at night goes straight to fat… but then again, there aren’t that many late-night places open. Summer’s coming soon, it’s hard enough keeping in shape, and I’ve been to almost all the places worth trying, so I’m thinking of wrapping up my ramen tour soon. Not that I’ll stop eating it altogether, I’ll just cut back on having ramen every single day like I do now..
