There’s a pizza chain that’s been expanding at a frightening pace lately, and I’d had my eye on it for a while. The interior is stylish and the menu isn’t that expensive, yet for a place that also delivers, it seemed to make proper pizza, so it kept nagging at me. I’d originally meant to go to the Shinjuku branch, but today, as luck would have it, I ended up at the new branch in Shirokane-Takanawa.
According to a friend, there was a flower stand from Ebi-chan when it opened. Hmm… if I keep coming here, maybe I’ll get to see Ebi-chan too. ^_^

The whole front is glass, so it gets a bit hot for anyone sitting by the window ^_^ It’s that time of year, after all.

They have all sorts of dishes besides pizza, but I only came for a quick taste, so I’m ordering one pizza. There’s also something called a D.O.C pizza, but I’ll have to try that next time.

Pretty high standard for a chain. The staff are well trained, too. I like it.
A glass of wine instead of a soft drink
For 500 yen the aroma and flavor are good. This is how house wine by the glass should be.

They’ve done it up nicely, with plenty of atmosphere. The place isn’t big, but it’s cozy and well put together.
The pizza finally arrives
This is the Regina, 2,100 yen. Not the best ever, but maybe because they use good ingredients and bake it in a wood-fired oven, it was a proper pizza. The piping-hot dough impressed me more than the toppings. The price seems fair for what it is, too. You wouldn’t go out of your way for a gourmet experience, but it’d be just right for a casual drink with friends.

Counter seats
It was packed at first, but everyone suddenly cleared out all at once, so I snapped a picture.
They have quite a lot of branches around Tokyo. The one in the basement of the Nomura Building in Shinjuku is the easiest for me to get to, so if I go again it’ll probably be that one. Or maybe not…
Clear skies
It’s the first day of Golden Week, and after raining the whole time, the weather finally cleared up. I suddenly felt like going off somewhere… but I’ve sold my car, and it’s too late to plan a trip now, so that’s probably not happening. Still, I’ll try to make the most of it in my own way ^_^ It’s the one big holiday of the year, after all…
