In spring 2008, the plans I’d been working on hit a snag, so I couldn’t go anywhere. At this rate, it looks like life will be a rollercoaster until summer comes. A cruel spring, just as T.S. Eliot said. But I lead such a busy life that I don’t even have time to feel down. Moping just isn’t in my nature anyway. In the middle of all this, I grabbed whatever spare moments I could to take pictures of the cherry blossoms near my place. I think this might be the most beautiful time of the whole year. Here in Japan, cherry blossom season is now just past its peak.
I don’t think these need much explanation, so just enjoy the photos…

They sparkle in the light. But I don’t think my photography skills really do them justice.
The rain has knocked a lot of the petals down. It’s been rainy and chilly these past few days with the temperature dropping, but warm spring weather should be here soon.
This one isn’t a cherry tree, but I’m posting it anyway.
