Maybe it’s the influence of the US military, but Okinawa has steak houses all over town. The famous ones are probably Jack’s, Sam’s, and 88. I went to Jack’s Steak House, the one with the best reputation.

New York steak
I asked for medium and it came out exactly medium. Had I known, I would have ordered medium-rare or rare. Without thinking I poured on lots of the sauce, and it turned out far sweeter than I expected, so that was a miss. I’ll have to be careful next time.
Tenderloin steak
A hearty portion. It tasted good too. It left me with a good impression of Okinawa.
