My Chuseok business trip this time was on such a tight schedule that I figured I wouldn’t have time to see my friends, but somehow a gap opened up the day before I left. We had to pick a place in a hurry, and while samgyeopsal, grilled duck and the like were on the table, it was raining, so we thought we’d go for gopchang (beef intestines) and decided to meet at Seocho Saeng Gopchang, which is easy to get to and supposedly tastes pretty good.

For drinks, Sansachun, for the sake of our health
Sansachun has changed its bottle shape, and I think the taste has changed too. To my palate it isn’t as good as it used to be.
Gopchang
Tastier than it looks. And the price isn’t bad either.
Yang (beef tripe)
This wasn’t bad either. Not on the level of a place like Yangmiok, though.
For a neighbourhood gopchang joint, the gopchang was pretty decent. Good value for money too.. It’s far better than Geobuk Gopchang, but that’s not much of a boast, is it ^_^ I’m not sure it’s worth a special trip, but it seems fine for when you’re craving gopchang somewhere near Gangnam. (Uridol Gopchang, which used to be in Hongdae, was good, but it moved somewhere out of the way and I don’t know if it’s still open.)
That day we ended up talking for ages with friends I hadn’t seen in a long time, so the drinks bill came out bigger than the gopchang bill. That really kills the value for money.. Alcohol is bad for your health too, so I really need to keep cutting back from now on. ^_^
For round two we went into a gamjatang place right nearby and ordered one large gamjatang.

It came to the boil quickly.
It wasn’t anything special, but we just ate it with soju on the side. I used to eat so much gamjatang back in the day, so having it again after so long brought back memories. My friends, though, haven’t changed a bit from then to now. Maybe it’s because we’re all still young..
