Since it was food served on a boat, I didn’t expect much at first, but the dishes turned out to be pretty high-end. (Had I known it would be this good, I might have skipped the Kitakata ramen…)
Sashimi
This is a platter for 4 or 5 people. The fish was very fresh, and the knife work looked skilled too. The beer was all-you-can-drink.
Salad and edamame
It looked tasty, but we had just been to a soba shop and a ramen shop, so I could barely eat any of it.
Crab, baby octopus, and shellfish
All three tasted good.
Sushi
Not exactly moving, but not bad at all either.
Edomae tempura
It’s shrimp tempura, and each person gets 8 pieces like this.
Ochazuke
A traditional ochazuke that Tokyo fishermen are said to have eaten. It was really delicious.
Clam soup
You pour this broth over rice to make the ochazuke.
Dessert
It was such a fun banquet. Every time I went to Odaiba, I’d wondered what the people riding those boats were up to, and now I finally know.
