I went with a friend to Yangui Jip (literally “the Sheep’s House”), a cheap lamb place in Yeongdeungpo. Maybe it’s because I’ve been feeling run down, but I keep craving hearty, restorative food ^_^

The prices blow you away ^_^; I thought Lamb House in Bangbae-dong was reasonably priced, but this place is even cheaper.
We ordered two servings first, just to check it out.

Turns out a lamb place doesn’t have a menu all that different from any other Korean BBQ joint.
Once it’s grilled just right, they cut it up with scissors for you.
It’s frozen, but the flavor isn’t off-putting at all. There’s hardly any of that gamey lamb smell either. I don’t think even first-timers would find it hard to get into. The taste is above average, and it’s cheap with big portions, so for value for money it’s pretty much unbeatable.
It felt like a shame to leave just yet, so we ordered one more serving.
But what came out was almost two servings ^_^.. Thank you, ma’am~
It’s not just the meat prices that are great; they’re fine with you bringing your own wine, too. It’s not in the photos, but we opened a bottle of everyday wine and drank it out of beer glasses.
A place this great seems to have been written up all over the internet, but when I actually went there weren’t many customers, which was a bit of a pity… It’s just a shabby-looking BBQ joint, the location is a bit awkward, and lamb is, after all, a bit of a niche taste.. I hope it’s still in business by the time I go back
